Vanguard Security was formed in May of 2025 when founders Chris Pelt, Jerry Lucas, and Brad Pate purchased the assets of Security One Inc. Security One was an established security firm that had been proudly serving the Mid-South area for 54 years.
Prior to the acquisition, Jerry Lucas (CEO) and Brad Pate (President) worked closely with Security One as consultants. During their time spent consulting, they recognized a critical gap in the market: while the regional criminal environment had rapidly changed over the decades, traditional security measures had remained stagnant, relying purely on the human element.
Vanguard Security was built specifically to bridge this gap, utilizing the deep client and employee foundation of an established 54-year firm and completely revitalizing it with next-generation technology.
